We believe in building powerful and wonderful relationships between humans and their canine companions.
Elementary
Starting Saturday, April 13th @ 11:30am
6 week class | 1 hour classes
From 6 months to 18 months old, we will work on basic commands, loose-leash walking, recall, greeting people and other dogs, as well as a “Stay” command. You’ll also learn how to build a healthy relationship with your dog, build up their confidence, and much more!

Group Classes
High School
Starting Wednesday, July 17th @ 6pm
6 week class | 1 hour classes
This class builds on your foundational work and adds in distractions with your commands.
You must have taken a previous training class at Dog Star Ranch to sign up for the High School Class.

College
Starting Friday, May 17th @ 6pm
6 week class | 1 hour classes
This class takes you and your dog out in the real world where we practice the skills you’ve been building on with us. Each week we’ll visit a different location in the community. We will be as far north as Montague and as far south as Grand Haven.
You must have previously taken Elementary AND High School at Dog Star Ranch.

Leash Walking
Starting Saturday, June 1st @ 10am
4 week class | 1 hour classes
This class is for any skill level. We will be going over the basics of leash walking and work on the “Heel” command, as well as loose-leash walking.
Not recommended for highly reactive dogs.

Workshops
Kids & Teens
Starting Saturday, June 1st @ 11:30am
4 week class | 1 hour classes
In this class we are focusing on the wonderful relationship between dogs and their human kids. We will have your kid or teen working with their family dog on how to teach commands, work on manners, and build a bond like no other. This unique course will be available for kids from ages 8-18.
Parent supervision is required.

Canine Good Citizen Prep Class
Starting Wednesday, June 5th @ 6pm
4 week class | 1 hour classes
In this class we will be working on all the tasks required to pass the Canine Good Citizen test. For more information log in to your online account or contact the office.

Canine Good Citizen Test
Starting Wednesday, July 10th @ 5pm
All dogs, both purebred and mixed-breed, are eligible to earn an AKC Canine Good Citizen Title. To qualify for a title your dog must be registered or enrolled with the American Kennel Club. You and your pup must be able to pass 10 test items. For more information log in to your online account or contact the office.
